Road Safety

Identify the factors contributing to risk through detailed analysis and develop targeted mitigating measures, remedial treatment programs and road safety strategies that align with safe system principles to reduce crash risk for intersections, roads, routes and networks.

RSDH Road Safety

Road Design

Integrating Safe System principles into every stage of road design to reduce crash risk for all road users.

By combining design expertise, evidence-based analysis, and the consideration of road user behaviour and vehicle performance, we deliver practical and implementable design solutions that enhance safety, performance, and usability across the network.

Crash site investigation, expert witness legal advice

An objective investigation of a crash site to review the road design, road condition and road environment factors to determine if or how these may have contributed to a crash. Advanced techniques, including consideration of surface condition, time of day, weather conditions, location, and link crash rates, as well as compliance with Australian Standard requirements, can also be adopted.

Heavy Vehicle Access

Supporting the freight task through demonstrating safe heavy vehicle access through road safety analysis, safe system road design and considering maintenance activities. We identify accessvpinch points and develop fit for purpose remedial actions and mitigation measures.

Asset Management & Maintenance

We identify and prioritise targeted maintenance activities and capital works improvements to maintain Level of Service and reduce crash risk. This provides an evidence-based approach to prioritising maintenance activities that also reduce crash risk.

Line Marking Condition Surveys & Maintenance Program Devleopment

Line marking condition surveys provide an objective, network-wide view of line marking performance. This data allows road managers to identify where markings are no longer providing adequate visibility and prioritise re-marking where it will deliver the greatest safety benefit.
